Update on funds received

Huge thanks to those who have donated some money; we have made a start with £230 so far from 5 individuals - I can't thank you enough.

Once enough funds come in for Lisa to start work on botanical illustrations, it will go straight to her. I can't stress enough that I am not receiving a penny from this; all my work is done for free for the Garden.

This is one of the initial illustrations from Lisa - it is annatto (Bixa orellana). This plant is listed as arriving in the garden by 1791 and was categorised as a medicinal and commercial type of plant. In Anderson's March 1791 plant catalogue, he notes it is growing in abundance.

Without more of these amazing botanical illustrations, a really special high quality guidebook can't be produced so please do consider donating.

Many thanks
